Full-time crypto trader · +10,000% since 2020

I trade crypto for a living. Here's how I'd start over in 2026.

I made my money trading — and I still watch most beginners lose theirs picking coins. So this site does something different: it tracks what launchpool-style events actually pay, in a dated journal with the real math next to every headline APR. The path I'd hand a beginner today: open your first exchange account with the welcome bonus attached, farm events while you learn, and only then decide whether trading is for you.

Every number in the journal below is math from events I farmed with my own funds — headline APRs vs what they actually paid.

Jul 2026 · Farmed ✓

Bybit USDT pool at 64% APR → about $25 for the event

Staked to the 2,000 USDT per-person cap. A 64% APR headline works out to ~0.18% a day; over the roughly week-long event that's about $25, and the principal was redeemable when it ended. That's the honest trade: real yield, modest size, zero coin-picking.

Jul 2026 · Farmed ✓ · hedged

Bitget PoolX (ZKL) at 272.48% APR → ~0.74% a day

Token-lock pool, so I hedged the reward with a small futures short. The token dumped after listing and the hedge did its job. Without a hedge I'd treat token-lock pools as advanced-only — the headline APR is real, but the reward token's price decides what you keep.

How I Run PoolX

2024–2026 · Why I graduated

Caps are why I stopped farming — and why you should start there

Per-person caps (usually 2,000–5,000 USDT) mean this never scales: my account outgrew the events, so today I trade instead. But that same cap is what protects the rate for small accounts — whales can't crowd you out. Rotating whatever was live, my realistic small-account target was about 5% a month, with honest misses. If you're starting from zero, this is still the first money I'd tell you to earn.

Start Step 1: Claim a Bonus

No payout here is a promise — rates move, pools fill, and reward tokens dump. The journal exists to show the realistic scale, not to sell a dream.

Start here

How a beginner actually makes money with crypto — my 3-step path.

This is the same sequence I'd give a friend who has never opened an exchange account and wants to earn instead of gamble. None of it requires picking the right coin.

Step 1

Open your first exchange account — with the bonus attached

Pick one exchange from the shortlist on this page and sign up through it — the referral code applies automatically, so the welcome offer is attached from day one at no extra cost. For a first account I'd point most beginners at Binance for familiarity, or Bybit if you want the busiest Launchpool calendar for step 2.

Pick My First Exchange

Step 2

Don't buy random coins — farm Launchpool-style events first

This is how I'd actually make the first money: exchanges regularly run Launchpool and PoolX events where you stake USDT or major coins for a fixed window and collect new-token rewards. I've farmed Bybit Launchpool and Bitget PoolX with my own money — good events have paid double-digit APRs, though rates swing and nothing is guaranteed. It's the rare beginner move that doesn't depend on picking the right coin.

How Much Launchpool Really Pays

Step 3

Only then decide if you want to trade

Trading is where the big numbers live — and where beginners donate money. I trade full time and still take real losses; if you skip trading entirely and just farm events plus bonuses, you're already ahead of most first-year beginners. When you're ready to compare venues properly, the full table below covers all seven.

Compare All 7 Exchanges

01

You never have to pick a coin

Launchpool-style events pay you for staking stablecoins or majors during a fixed window. The yield comes from a project's marketing budget — not from you being right about a chart.

02

Principal stays redeemable

In USDT pools your stake comes back when the event ends. Token-lock pools pay more but carry price risk — the journal marks which lane each entry used.

03

The catch: caps keep it modest

Per-person caps (usually 2,000–5,000 USDT) mean events pay tens of dollars, not a salary. That same cap is why small accounts get the full rate — whales can't dilute your share.

I'm not an affiliate site that decided to write about crypto — I'm a full-time trader who writes down what I already do. I've traded crypto as my main income since 2021 and compounded my account more than 10,000% over about four and a half years. That number is real, and so is the other side of it: I've been rug-pulled, watched a portfolio halve in a week, and sat through the slumps. Every exchange and offer here is one I use or have used myself, and I'll always tell you who it's wrong for.

FAQ

Check the key beginner questions before you choose.

Can a beginner actually make money with crypto in 2026?

Yes — but usually not the way most people start. In my experience, nearly every beginner who begins by buying whatever coin is trending loses money. The saner start is claiming a welcome bonus you would qualify for anyway, then earning through Launchpool-style staking events, and only later deciding whether trading is for you.

How much money do I need to start with crypto?

Less than most people think. Some bonus paths unlock from around a $50 first deposit, and Launchpool-style events accept small stakes — the rewards simply scale with what you put in. Start with an amount you could lose entirely without it changing your life.

What is the lowest-risk way for a beginner to earn crypto?

Of everything I have done as a full-time trader, Launchpool and PoolX-style events are the most beginner-friendly: you stake USDT or major coins for a fixed window and collect new-token rewards without betting on a coin pick. Risks still exist — token prices move and some events lock funds — so read each event's terms before you commit.

Are crypto signup bonuses actually real?

Real, but task-based. Exchanges release them after specific steps — identity verification, a first deposit, sometimes a first trade — not just for creating an account. That is also why the biggest headline number is not automatically the best pick: always check what unlocks the reward first.

Which crypto exchange is best for a complete beginner?

For a first account I would point most beginners at Binance for familiarity and a simple fee-rebate path, or Bybit if the Launchpool earning calendar is the draw. The comparison table on this page shows the full shortlist with each exchange's reward, ease, and trust notes side by side.
